This session will review the Agency Plan (five-year and annual updates) and its critical components. A critical leadership function at a housing authority is creating, evolving, and implementing the Agency Plan. The plan, originated in 1998 via the Quality Housing and Work Responsibility Act, is the agency’s short- and long-term strategic planning tool. Executive leaders, including staff and commissioners, should embrace this plan and process as a crucial legacy function for creating their agency’s vision, mission, goals, and brand.
