Public Housing Waiting List Reporting Due March 31, 2024

Housing agencies must report on the number of people on their public housing waiting lists to HUD by March 31, 2024. This is a requirement of Section 103 of the Housing Opportunity Through Modernization Act of 2016 (HOTMA) and is specifically mentioned in PIH Notice 2023-03 (HA).
The data must be submitted via the Operating Fund Web Portal and should include both agency-wide and site-based lists. Housing agencies should not report duplicate households (i.e., families on more than one list should not be counted more than once). By April 30th, HUD plans to publish the Public Housing Over-Income Families and Waiting-Lists Report.
