Join us for a full day of learning and discussion:
- Our opening plenary session, sponsored by Yardi, explores “Housing Vouchers – Where We Are and Where We’re Going.” Join experts from the Urban Institute, Johns Hopkins University, the Poverty and Race Research Action Council, and HUD as we discuss the voucher program now, as well as opportunities and challenges moving forward!
- Then comes the first set of breakout sessions, focused on voucher program rules. Attendees will break into groups to answer questions regarding how to improve the voucher program administration, how vouchers can lead to greater resident success, and how vouchers can help residents build wealth through homeownership.
- President and CEO of National Fair Housing Alliance Lisa Rice will lead our special Lunch & Learn session, “Vouchers Leading to an Equitable Community and Landlord Outreach.”
- Later, both industry experts and housing colleagues will come together for our second set of breakout sessions to discuss how voucher jurisdiction population affects program operations and how to adjust to needs of urban, rural or suburban settings.
- Our closing plenary session “Bringing it Together and the Path Forward” features experts from the Center on Budget and Priorities, the Urban Institute, NYU Furman Center for Real Estate and Urban Policy, and the National Housing Project.
