NAHRO Testifies at House Public Housing Hearing

On March 24, NAHRO’s Director of Policy and Program Development Georgi Banna testified virtually in front of the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Financial Services Subcommittee on Housing, Community Development and Insurance at a hearing called “Preserving a Lifeline: Examining Public Housing in a Pandemic”.
Banna, who was the first witness to testify, explained how public housing serves as a community hub and a community asset, highlighting the efforts of several NAHRO members throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. Banna also emphasized Congress’s responsibility to address the $70 billion Public Housing Capital Fund backlog.
