NAHRO Elects Carl Richie, Jr. as Next President, Sunny Shaw as Next Senior VP
Pittsburgh, Pa. (Oct. 26, 2017) – Carl Richie, Jr., Chairman of the Housing Authority of the City of Austin (Tex.), has been elected to be NAHRO’s next President, and Sunny Shaw, Executive Director of the Housing Authority of the City of Pocatello (Ida.), has been elected NAHRO’s next Senior Vice President. The presidential election was uncontested; the senior vice presidential election was a contest between Ms. Shaw and Ailrick Young, Executive Director of the Housing Authority of the City of Laurel (Miss.). The election results were announced by David Zappasodi, Chair of the Nominating and Election Committee, during the Opening Plenary Session of the NAHRO National Conference and Exhibition: Building Bridges to the Future, at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center in Pittsburgh, Pa.
Mr. Richie and Ms. Shaw will be sworn in and officially begin their two-year terms on Sunday, October 29, at the conclusion of the NAHRO National Conference. More information on the candidates is available on their webpages:
