NAHRO Advocacy: Schedule and Report Your Site Visits!
August Advocacy is over, but our advocacy work is never done! Help NAHRO reach our goal of 50 site visits by the end of 2022. A site visit is any virtual or in-person meeting with an elected official or their staff related to your agency’s work. Site visit examples from the past two years include:
- Back to school events
- Ribbon-cutting / groundbreaking events
- Tour of agency properties
- Virtual presentation on agency housing
- Phone call to discuss agency funding
If you would like more information on scheduling a site visit, please visit our site visit information page or contact Jenna Hampton, Legislative Affairs Analyst, at jhampton@nahro.org. Watch Jenna walk through the site visit process in our new Site Visit Training video.
If you think you have already hosted a site visit this year, please report it using our Site Visit Report Form. Even if you are not sure whether your meeting counts as a site visit, please submit it to our team. We will reach out to you if we need any additional information.
