Allocations for CPD Formula Programs Announced

HUD has announced its allocations for the Office of Community Planning and Development’s (CPD) formula programs, including: the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), HOME Investment Partnerships (HOME), Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS (HOPWA), Emergency Solutions Grants (ESG), and the Housing Trust Fund (HTF). Allocations reflect the level of funding approved for your community.  Allocations can be found on HUD’s CPD Formula Allocations for FY 2018 website.

  • For FY 2018, the omnibus provides $3.3 billion for carrying out the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program, a $300 million increase over FY 2017.
  • The FY 2018 omnibus provides HOME with $1.362 billion for FY 2018, a $412 million increase over FY 2017.
  • The FY 2018 omnibus provides $375 million for the HOPWA program, an increase of $19 million over FY 2017.
  • The FY 2018 omnibus reserves at least $270 million be available for the Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) program.
