Advocate for More Housing Choice Vouchers!  

We are already halfway into Week 2 of August Advocacy! Our advocacy campaign is off to a great start, but we need your help to reach our goal of 50,000 letters and 2,500 individual advocates. Currently, 459 of you have sent 4,940 letters! SERC is in currently in the lead with 1,240 letters, followed closely by NCRC. Contacting legislators is crucial to advancing affordable housing and community development needs. Remember to send your advocacy letter today! 

Week 2 of August Advocacy focuses on expanding access to housing vouchers. The Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) program serves 2.3 million families each year, but there are not enough vouchers to assist every eligible household. The Housing Choice Voucher program is one of the most effective housing affordability programs. Without expanding access to housing vouchers, millions of eligible families will continue experiencing long wait times before receiving rental assistance. As Congress deliberates key affordable housing and community development funding, contact your elected officials about expanding access to housing vouchers.
