Congratulations to the 2023 NAHRO-LDG Scholars
NAHRO is pleased to announce the 2023 NAHRO-LDG Scholarship cohort! Presented at the 2023 National Conference & Exhibition in New Orleans, the NAHRO-LDG Scholarship is a 10-year venture that will provide $1 million in scholarships and internship opportunities funded by award-winning multi-family housing developer LDG Development.
The 2023 NAHRO LDG Scholars are:

Southeastern Region
Attending Pearl River Community College, studying Nursing
Ebony Gee
Bethlehem Housing Authority (PA)
Middle Atlantic Region
Attending Cedar Crest College, studying Nuclear Medicine Technology
Jaqueline Fernandez
Cameron County Housing Authority (TX)
Southwest Region
Attending University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, studying Nursing
NAHRO-LDG Scholars are selected — by a panel of judges from the Housing America Advisory Committee and LDG Development — from the NAHRO Merit College Scholarship winners, who are submitted by each region.
The 2023 NAHRO Merit College Scholarship winners are:
- Emily Cooper, Wethersfield Housing Authority (New England Region)
- Ebony Gee, Bethlehem Housing Authority (Middle Atlantic Region)
- Ja’Keasia Pittman, South Mississippi Housing Authority (Southeastern Region)
- Magdelene Swartz, Port Huron Housing Commission (North Central Region)
- Jaqueline Fernandez, Cameron County Housing Authority (Southwest Region)
- Carlos Rodriguez, Housing Authority of the County of Alameda (Pacific Southwest Region)
