Learn how to determine family eligibility, review verification requirements, and dig into hands-on case studies designed to help you accurately complete assistance calculations. Participants will also examine examples of best practices for programs, partnerships, lender requirements, counseling, and policies; walk through methods for avoiding pitfalls that lead to poor implementation or the loss of valuable resources; and gain an understanding of the mortgage lending process and its interface with the program. Sharpen your pencils, fire up your calculators, and let’s help our HCV residents become homeowners! An online proficiency test will be made available at the conclusion of the course.
Who Should Attend?
This intermediate, one-day refresher course is designed for Housing Choice Voucher agencies and their staff who are familiar with HCV Homeownership regulations.
