Salome Aringo, MBA

Salome has diverse work experience in various industries. Serving as the Chief Operating Officer at the National Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officials (NAHRO), she oversees the organizations Finance, IT, Human Resources, Member Services and Resource Development departments. Previously, she held the position of Senior VP of Finance & Administration at the National Fair Housing Alliance, where they worked towards ending housing discrimination and ensuring equal housing opportunity for all. Salome also served as the Director of Finance at AcademyHealth and as Controller at AMIA (American Medical Informatics Association), both organizations were involved in data-driven informatics focusing on healthcare. Salome further gained experience working as a Chief Financial Officer Consultant at Wilson Global Communications, specializing in strategic public relations services. Prior to that, she worked as a Senior Accountant at Focus Investment Banking, catering to emerging growth and middle-market businesses. She began her career as a Staff Accountant at Benetton Group, a renowned fashion company, and as a Junior Staff Accountant at Costello and Huddy Chartered a local Certified Public Accounting firm.

Salome holds a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree in Accounting from Southeastern University. Prior to this, she obtained a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Nairobi. She lives in Maryland with her family and enjoys playing tennis and hiking.
