Membership

Organizational Membership

Membership is available to any organization that supports NAHRO’s vision and mission. Membership dues are based on the type of organization joining, see below. Dues are assessed annually on the anniversary of the organization’s join date.

All employees and/or commissioners connected to a member organization are entitled to NAHRO member benefits.

Members may also designate Benefit Recipients/Associates. These designated individuals are eligible to vote in the biennial NAHRO leadership election and have access to create job listings (RFPs, RFQs, etc.) through the NAHRO Career Center.

Housing Agencies  

Organizations that manage, administer or own federally-assisted housing units.

Housing Agency dues are $1.62 per unit, with a minimum of $100 and a maximum of $22,000. All units and vouchers are counted.

Housing Agencies are entitled to a minimum of 6 benefit recipients/associates plus one additional benefit recipient/ associate for each $200 in dues paid, up to a maximum of 50.

Housing Agencies can pay $25 to add additional benefit recipient/associate slots.

Public Agencies

Organizations involved in affordable housing, community development, and redevelopment. These are typically community development departments, redevelopment agencies, state agencies, housing departments, city manager’s offices, federal departments, planning departments, etc. 

Public agency dues are based on the population size they serve. Members in this category are entitled to a fixed number of benefit recipients/associates:

  • Less than 50,000: $244 (7 benefit recipients/associates)
  • 50,000 – 100,000: $731 (9 benefit recipients/associates)
  • 100,001 – 250,000: $1,221 (12 benefit recipients/associates)
  • 250,001 – 500,000: $1,709 (14 benefit recipients/associates)
  • More than 500,000: $2,196 (16 benefit recipients/associates)

Public agencies can pay $25 to add additional benefit recipient/associate slots.

Corporate Organizations

Vendors, consultants, sole proprietors, and others such as software companies, hardware suppliers, financial institutions, property management companies.

Corporate dues are $1,000 (9 benefit recipients/associates). 

Corporate Organizations can pay $25 to add additional benefit recipient/associate slots.

Non Profit Organizations

Community action agencies, civic organizations, and other non profits active in housing and community development.

Non profit dues are based on the annual revenue of the organization:

  • $500 if annual revenue is less than $2 million (7 benefit recipients/associates).
  • $700 if annual revenue is greater than $2 million (7 benefit recipients/associates).

Non Profit Organizations can pay $25 to add additional benefit recipient/associate slots.
