NAHRO Awards Scholarships to Seven Outstanding College Students in 2024

NAHRO is pleased to announce the 2024 National Merit College Scholarship winners and the 2024 NAHRO-LDG Scholarship cohort! Presented at the 2024 National Conference & Exhibition in Orlando, the NAHRO-LDG Scholarship is a 10-year venture that provides $1 million in scholarships and internship opportunities, funded by award-winning multi-family housing developer LDG Development.

The 2024 NAHRO-LDG Scholars are:

Saniaya Bethea

Laurinburg Housing Authority (NC)
Studying social work at the University of North Carolina, Pembroke

Mikayla Simms

Housing Commission of Anne Arundel County (MD)
Studying nursing at Towson University

Dylan Lynch

Kirbyville Housing Authority (TX)
Studying Mechanical Engineering at Lamar University


NAHRO-LDG Scholars are selected — by a panel of judges — from the NAHRO Merit College Scholarship winners, who are submitted by each region. The 2024 Merit College Scholarship winners are:

Studying Kinesiology at Boise State University

Jasmine Quiroz-Piceno

Housing Authority of the County of Santa Cruz (CA)
Studying Human Development and Family Science at California State University

Julia Therese Moden

Arlington Housing Authority (MA)
Dual program for art education and art therapy at Lesley University

Otto Signorelli

Housing and Redevelopment Authority of Duluth (MN)
Studying Electrical Engineering at the University of Minnesota, Duluth
