Help Secure BABA Waivers by Taking NAHRO’s Survey
By: Andrew Van Horn, Policy Analyst
HUD is continuing to implement the Build America, Buy America Act. In order to justify why agencies need additional waivers, HUD has published a Request for Information. NAHRO requests one of the most important pieces of data out there: your organization’s experiences!
Please take NAHRO’s brief survey to help NAHRO advocate for a workable implementation of the law. NAHRO requests one response per agency. NAHRO asks you to also share this link widely—we’re interested in hearing from any organization receiving HUD funding HUD to construct, alter, maintain, and repair affordable housing, not only NAHRO members. Everyone receiving HUD funding is encouraged to take this survey. This survey should take four minutes or less to complete. NAHRO will not share individual names or email addresses when reporting the results of this survey.
BABA requires recipients of federal financial assistance to buy American-made iron and steel, construction materials, and manufactured products when making permanent modifications to housing and real property. This survey will help affordable housing providers complete the work that their communities need. We will use this survey to advocate for additional waivers in response to HUD’s request for information. Reach out to Andrew Van Horn at avanhorn@nahro.org with questions.
