Calling All FSS Programs: Annual Report Survey and Call for Papers

By: Steven Molinari, Policy Analyst

HUD is seeking feedback and insight from PHA’s administering the Family Self-Sufficiency (FSS) program through the Annual Report Survey. They also seek research papers for Cityscape, to explore strategies for improving program outcomes for the FSS program.

Annual Report Survey

Recently, the FSS Annual Report Survey has been released to help HUD understand how PHAs and PBRA properties across the country are implementing FSS. According to HUD, feedback from the survey is meant to “highlight best practices, identify areas for improvement, and overall, to describe what FSS looks like across different programs.”

Those interested in completing the survey are asked to do so in one sitting and have an understanding of your organization’s FSS Action Plan and other FSS policies.

The deadline to complete the survey is March 15, 2024.

To fill out the survey please see here.

Cityscape Call For Papers

HUD’s Office of Policy Development and Research (PD&R) seek evidence-based solutions that improve outcomes for participants that have enrolled in the Family Self-Sufficiency Program across the country. They are considering research paper topics that focus on either effectiveness, feasibility, innovation, enhancement, or opportunities that may result from the program.

Articles are intended to be published in HUD’s 2025 Cityscape Symposium. Articles must be developed specifically for the Symposium and not published elsewhere.

The deadline to submit papers is May 1, 2024.
