HUD Awards $3.16 Billion to Continuums of Care

On January 29, HUD announced approximately $3.16 billion in Continuum of Care (CoC) awards for over 7,000 projects nationwide. The FY 2023 awards help to support CoCs provide housing assistance and/or supportive services to people experiencing homelessness. Funding is also intended to assist with costs related to planning and data collection for homeless populations.
Of the total amount, approximately $136 million has been made available for competitive and non-competitive Youth Homelessness Demonstration Program (YHDP) renewal and replacement grants. Approximately $57 million has also been made available for new housing and services projects that are meant to support survivors of domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, and stalking.
