Preparing for HAP Termination
Description
Terminating Housing Assistance Payments can be a scary process. Have you wondered if your agency is doing it correctly? If so, this training is for you. Participants will learn to ensure compliance with HUD regulations, as well as explore strategies to prepare for and document the termination of HAP payments.
This process can seem daunting, but together we will share best practices for how to respond to complaints and compliance issues, documentation, creating participant agreements, preparing your termination letter, hearing preparation, and how to respond to reasonable accommodation requests.
