August Advocacy Kicks off with Daily Infrastructure Push
NAHRO kicks off August recess advocacy with an incredibly important topic: housing is infrastructure. Despite months of stalled negotiations, little progress has been made toward an infrastructure deal.

Every year, Congress leaves Washington for the month of August to spend time at home connecting with constituents. While this August recess might be a little different because of the pandemic, lawmakers are still listening.
NAHRO has set an ambitious goal of sending 12,501 letters to Capitol Hill in August and we need your help! Every Monday throughout the month, we’ll have letters on a new topic ready for you to send. Here are the important topics we need you to tell your lawmakers about this year:
- Week 1: Housing Is Infrastructure
- Week 2: Universal Housing Vouchers
- Week 3: Voucher Services and Support
- Week 4: Tax Credits and Community Development Resources
- Week 5: FY 2022 Transportation- HUD Funding
