Resources for Affordable Housing

Developing affordable housing or expanding affordable housing opportunities typically requires creatively combining resources from a wide variety of sources including financial institutions, foundations, local, state and federal government. Rarely is a single source sufficient to create new housing or even to rehabilitate and subsidize existing housing to insure affordability for low- and moderate-income households.

The affordable housing resources described here have been used frequently by local agencies and their partners to expand affordable housing opportunities in their communities.
